Let Burlington Northern And Maricopa County Know What YOU Think About Plans To Build A Massive Rail Hub Engulfing Wittmann.

Please Attend This Critical Community Meeting May 6 at 6pm at Nadaburg Elementary School

If you have concerns about a massive railway hub that would impact Wittmann and the surrounding communities you need to attend a community meeting May 6th at 6pm At Nadaburg Elementary School located at 21419 W. Dove Valley Road, Wittmann, AZ 85361.

You may have heard that Warren Buffett and BNSF Railway have plans for a $3.2 billion railway hub that would encompass more than 4,000 acres. It would be the largest railway hub in the nation. It would threaten the area’s open spaces, clean air, and water. The facility would bring about massive warehouses, truck traffic, hazardous materials, and pollution. It is estimated the project would create 18 million square feet of warehousing space and increase traffic by about 22 thousand vehicles a day. This would put a strain on emergency services not only in Wittmann but for the surrounding communities. It would increase crime as recent headlines have been reporting on the growing number of train robberies by armed and violent gangs.

BNSF and Maricopa County are holding a community meeting to get your input. If you care about your community, it is vital that you make your voice heard.

Please attend.
